In 1878, H. Grattan Guinness published his first major work on Bible prophecy, The Approaching End of the Age. In it he defended a premillennial historicist interpretation of Daniel and Revelation, correlating prophetic chronology with discoveries from astronomy, especially regarding harmonizations in the soli-lunar cycles.
A digital version of his book has been available for some time now, but without a number of the original chapters and other content.
I’m now pleased to announce a new, updated version of The Approaching End of the Age including all of the original chapters, the preface from the original, and the list in the appendix of authors Guinness consulted in the preparation of his book. This version also includes hi-res photos of the original charts included in the first edition in 1878.
