Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is angry with US President Barack Obama over Obama’s decision to support the Palestinian cause which aims to return to pre-1967 borders. With this breaking news on the eve of the end of the world (according to Harold Camping), many who don’t know better might be anxious. Let me reassure you, although the news of Obama’s decision is worth redoubling your efforts in praying for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6), the world will almost certainly NOT end on May 21. The Bible says no such thing as far as I can tell. And even if Camping’s math made sense, Jesus Himself was quite clear that date setting is out of bounds for His followers. Consider this caution from Dr. Albert Mohler, and then click the link below to read his blog article. Then go about your business on May 21… and on May 22… and “be about the Father’s business, sharing the Gospel and living faithful Christian lives.”
“The church is not to be arrogantly setting dates, but instead to be eagerly waiting for him. Of that we can be truly certain.” ~ Albert Mohler
